Tiansland GPI is a broad-spectrum antibacterial active ingredient, which can effectively inhibit gram-negative bacteria, positive bacteria, yeast and mold; widely used in cream, dew, hair care products, sunscreens, baby products, eye cosmetics, wipes and other resident and wash-out products. Chemical composition: 1,3- Dihydroxymethyl -5,5- two methyl hydantoin and IPBC .

We do not recommend the use of Tiansland GPI in aerosol products. The general addition of 0.1-0.6% is safe and widely used in various water-in-oil, oil-in-water emulsion systems and water-soluble formulations. The pH value is 3~9, and is better at less than 50 C.

Antibacterial properties
Broad-spectrum antibacterial activity can effectively inhibit gram negative bacteria, positive bacteria, yeasts and molds. Compatibility: compatibility with various components existing in cosmetics. Test results show that its bacteriostatic ability is not affected by additives such as surfactants, proteins and emulsifiers, chelating agents, pigments and flavors in cosmetics.
Recommendations to formulate
It can be added at both room and elevated temperatures as high as 60°C for 2-3 hours. However, at high temperatures, mixing should be carried out in a closed vessel. Tiansland GPI is stable over a wide range of pH (3-10)
Solubility
Tiansland GPI is readily soluble in any aqueous phase, as well as in polar organic solvents like alcohols, glycols, glycol esters, alkyl sulfates, amphoterics, alkanolamides.
Compatibility
It is compatible with virtually all raw materials used in personal care formulations including anionic, cationic and nonionic surfactants, thickening agents, chelating agents, colors and fragrances. A stability study has been conducted by adding 0.3% Tiansland GPI in a broad variety of personal care products, and by checking viscosity, pH, color and homogeneity of the end products after 1month at room temperature and 50°C. Tiansland GPI proved to be compatible with all the tested products : no major change was observed for either criteria.
Packing specification
Product is supplied in polyethylene pails holding 25 kg net or polyethylene drums holding 200kgs net. It can be stored 18 months in the sealed original packaging, at a temperature between 15 and 24°C. The product must be kept protected from light and freezing. At a temperature of lower than 15 °C cristallization of the product is possible. In such a case product should be heated up to 40-50°C in a closed vessel under continuous stirring until the product is completely solubilized.
